1_START
I heard howls coming from the far side, by the river, a long way away. AMI and BOY woke suddenly. It was early before Big-light, and the sounds were familiar.
They had learned of time, the partitions, and the directions. They carved the cave wall with events as they happened. They secured the cave entrance and made sharp fire hardened spears. AMI made cords and BOY made a club axe. They hunted for supplies and stocked the cave with wood. BOY made backup fire. They burnt holes in logs and filled them with water. They scrounged for foods and fooled the buzzes to grab their honey. Then, the cave bear returned to his cave and they defeated the ferocious cave bear. They rebuilt the wall and the bloods came to AMI. A day of great Hope emerged.
Anxious to the next pass, BOY rose first, and he sat cross legged, pointing out over the wall to the skies. AMI sat with him. They looked all around at the skies and wondered out loud how amazing the Codes were. AMI said,
There is no greater beauty than everything created by the Codes. Without the codes creations, we could not be here. We are all one.
BOY stood, then he bent over and lifted AMI into his arms.
I saw him slowly carrying her out to the wall. The morning sky was lighting with the stars slowly disappearing. Their appearances were shadowy in the changing light. She hugged tightly around his neck as he slowly let her down to stand beside him.
Then they held each other looking out over the fields as BOY slowly moved his arm across the skies and said,
AMI, the Codes have made everything within and around us. We live within the substance Codes, and we have knowledge of the Codes. We have combined the natures with the Codes for our needs. We have tamed the spark. We have conquered the wild beast, and sought out our needs. Our mission holds great hope if we do not waiver, or if quantum fortune does not favor our choices.
They had travelled through dangerous lands, not safe nor fit to travel. They came so close to deadly peril. AMI said;
Yes, and we have foods and we have waters. We have Oink and Coo and Caw. We are together and can now start to bring security to our survival.
With a wide smile on his face BOY said,
From here our children will go to all the lands where the emergents of wonder be.
2_THE CHORUS
Then AMI put her hand to her ear, she smiled looking to the end of the long field,
Oh BOY, hear the clicking sounds coming from the marshy end of the long field. They are soft, and melodic. Ooh, listen to the tweets in the open fields, and over by the wide forest trees.
BOY listened,
It is the chorus of life. It is the chorus that all is well. We will sing to their flow and let the tweets and the warbles of the rise join in.
The rise and fall of Horus will change the chorus. The dangers well known and unknown will change the chorus. We will know when the chorus is not well. We will follow the chorus of each change and on into the unknown.
I listened as they then began tweeting and warbling as the birds. Then they started croaking like the frogs and honking like the geese. All joined in. Their sounds were complete. They knew all these creatures. After all, they had named each of them by their sounds and attributes. They named them each in the garden-of-Harmony. They knew the Oink and the Caw and many others. AMI noted,
We will add sounds not found in the chorus
They began, and they made songs from the sounds. They added grunts as if deer and baa’s as if goat. They set each to a sound and to match. There were hoots as if owl and quacks as if duck. There were many bouts of snorting and outright laughter. It all looked outright surreal. But I heard sounds I never heard before. Sounds joined in from all the valley. They wound down by humming.
Then, AMI stood near the fire and looked over the beauty and the bounty they had received. BOY stood tight beside her. Then they added their words to their songs. Their words flowed to the sounds of their morning. Their world and their mission they saw so full of promise and hope.
Standing in the warm glow of the new Big Light they were happy with what they had achieved. They were hopeful and all willing. They believed together this mission will be done. They stood at the entry and raised their palms to the sky. They sang loudly over the lands below and beyond.
Let all of nature and the life there-from, join the music and the harmony, Yea, to the rhythm of life, and the pathway to Harmony.
They sang on and on in beautiful matching tones. Oink hopped and grunted around. They knew time and had hope.
3_THE DECK
AMI then said,
This is the four pass of the ‘Deck’. We will set the Deck for 10 Passes. I call this pass ‘Hope’.
I tried to compare. Their pass seemed like my day and their deck like my week? I could tell almost how long their day was and their week seemed 10 days.
This was their four pass and they called it ‘Hope’. They did all their morning sessions, as always. They provided the needs for their bodies, as always. They stoked the fire and rinsed each other’s bodies with water. AMI then said;
We will mark record of all passes with the living we experience. This our children will know well.
She marked four lines on the wall, just above the three line, and looked down the back of the cave. It was a huge bare rock wall and it stretched far back into the cave. They hoped that they would fill the wall. Beside the first mark AMI scribed an outline of them sitting in their shelter with the lightning all around them. She called this pass ‘Brave’, and they were very brave to enter the substance world.

Then beside the second mark she scribed a huge water predator with its massive toothy jaws open wide, chasing them as they fled through the river. At the end of the mark she scribed Oink, with Coo on his back, and flames from the fire. She called this Pass ‘Fire’, for its importance and they were very bold to take such a treacherous journey.
By the three mark she scribed an outline of the growling cave bear, standing on its haunches with its long deadly claws facing out. Beside it she scribed a club/axe and a smoldering burf. She called this pass ‘Time’, and their victories and progress filled them with inspired hope.
Not much could be done with sharp rocks against cave walls. Each mark was crudely shaped with the few tools she had and looked cartoony, but each mark was clear. The marks could only be marked clearly with better tools. I had a feeling she wanted to improve the marks when better tools allowed. She said;
We will continue to mark each pass. It will stretch back on into the cave.
As we make strong tools I will carve better outlines into the rock. I will make colours of plants and rocks and join them into the marks. I will make real their looks.

They were making a diary of every event for every day. Wow, a record for eternity. As I was wondering what marks will they make on the cave wall for today, AMI said;
4_THE DIMINISH
As we are able to make the marks and they do not die by other, our children will live 55 diminishes. Our diminish has been abated of forward-time by time-out.
They knew how long their children could live as a life form. It was not endless existence as in harmony. They knew this. They knew their bodies would die, and their Vision enter harmony, if not otherwise, at the end of 55 divides. I took this to mean that as their body parts expired, those parts are replaced with less capable parts. Now, did they also mean that they have the potential to live longer than the human diminish?
Then for my mind to understand, if their pass was like my day and their return similar to my year, then they could live two returns times 55 divides or 110 returns equals 110 years. How long was their year? I could not tell. They knew as they aged their bodies would change. Their children would change 55 times if they survived that long.
They had arrived in the substance world with the advantage of their body parts starting as newborn. They had not experienced any divides in harmony.
As Horus broke free from the distant horizon they smiled and stood to contemplate their day. It was the Hope-pass for them. They looked at the stick. The stick’s shadow was in the first partition. The small rocks totalled 53 from Rise to Fall. This made 52 partitions for Big-light to shine. They had yet to know the dark time or the season time. Later they would follow the dark time by the stars and it was 50 partitions. It seemed so clear to me they were right in the start of hot weathers. They were using the Wisdom-of-Vision to learn how the Codes make everything work.
But, they had much to do. They still needed more stores of foods and waters, and supplies of all sorts. They sat together and planned their next moves. They would always need to seek stores for future survival. For now they could concentrate on other needs to start. BOY said;
We have survival for now and will forage well protected. We can now make tools and implements of use. Let us also make things that can make other things.
They stood together facing each other. They held hands. It was as if they knew each other’s thoughts. They would soon join the seeds of life. The time was near. They walked happy. AMI,
5_MORE FUZZ
I will take the reeds from the riverside and weave them into useful things. I will weave them into baskets to carry things with.
They went together to the river. On the way AMI laughed and ran ahead of BOY. He smiled and ran after her. AMI slipped in and out and hid behind a wide tree. BOY leaped up and down and made loud noises. He ran around in a circle with his arms spread out and cried.
Where is my AMI? Where is my Love?
AMI spoke out; I am hiding.
BOY asked; Where are you hiding?
She responded; I am hiding behind the wide tree.
BOY smiled and leapt as he ran to find her. As he neared the wide tree AMI ran out from the tree, and straight to BOY. She spread her arms and leaped high onto him. Her arms held tight around his neck and her legs wrapped around his waist. She whispered in BOY’s ear;
I am here my love, where I will always be.
They stopped everything. BOY hugging her tightly as, AMI then noticed the fuzz on BOY’s face was getting longer and they both had hair appearing over their heads, and throughout their pits. He held her to his side with one arm, and put the basket handles over the ends of the spears. He carried AMI this way until she let go near the waters and held onto his hand. They needed to be careful always, near the fast waters. BOY said,
6_THE BASKET
I will find striplings from fallen wood for your baskets. These will be helpful to make carry things and make tools of use.
He stood guard in this area while AMI picked an armful of pliable reeds by the riverbank and BOY grabbed some too. They also filled leaves with course sand from the riverbank and hung them on cords to carry with over their shoulders. On the way back BOY found a log that was cracked with the bark chipped apart.
He used some nearby sharp rocks and a stick as a lever to remove six long flat thin striplings of wood about equal length each. As I was to see, these striplings would form the spokes for a basket. They were rough and not evenly shaped. They were the best for now.
They ran back to the cave and noted Horus was in the 8th partition. AMI laid the flat striplings tightly on top of each other. She wet them and forced a thin sharp bone through the middle with the club. It looked like a tiny stack of very thin boards with a nail through the middle. She then fanned them equally apart. It looked like spokes on a wheel without the outside wheel. The bone held it in place. She put the basket spokes into the container log and let them soak in the water for a short while. She also took the flexible reeds and rolled them in a circle and placed them in the water to soak.
When she took the fanned spokes from the water, she used her thin cords and wove through the spokes alternating over and then under each spoke all around in a row. Each time I saw her pressing the cord in tight. She continued for a few fingers out and then tied the cord off. Now she could remove the bone. She had formed a tight flat bottom for the basket. She again dipped the basket into the water and bent the spokes upward. When she removed the reeds from the water she wove the first end of the longest reed into the cord bottom and started to weave the reed through the spokes one over the other, each time pressing down to make them tight together.
As she wove the reeds in through the spokes, she alternately pressed the spokes upward and held them there with her other finger and thumb.
As she kept weaving higher the sides moved out, and at the top it turned in. She wove to the top and tucked the ends back through the spokes. She then placed a long thin stripling around the edge of the top and wove it into the basket using her cords. Pleased AMI showed BOY,
Look BOY, I have made our first basket. I will make more and a strap to carry them over our shoulders.
He jumped from his tasks and said,
It is beautiful. We can use them to gather foods and supplies, to store and protect many things. They will make easy, many difficult things.
AMI then made a strap to carry the basket with. Amazing, she had made a basket to carry things. She started to make many more. She also wove two new and colourful sashes from the reeds with cords long enough to hold things around their waists. She tied one around BOY’s waist. He now had a change of clothes. She looked at the sashes and said,

I can build covers starting with these new sashes. We will find the right fibers to make clothing to keep us warm and dry as the weathers will change.
BOY said,
I will collect many things with the baskets and bring them back. There are grasses with seed in the field and a very large nut tree at the end of the field.
AMI jumped up and said,
I will go with you. We can bring many things and we need to take Oink out for a stroll so she can find her foods to eat and water to drink.
With Both always on guard, they each both took two baskets and went out in the fields. They loaded two baskets with grasses to store. Many were edible, others would serve different purposes. Oink found several large tubers. Having to always be prepared, they each left one basket of grasses on the trail to pick up on their return.
There was a huge nut tree at the far end of the forest across the field. The nuts could be stored for a long time and provide valuable food energy. AMI said;
We will save some of the best nuts to grow the best nut trees. The rest we will eat.
The best nuts could also be used to grow another nut tree the same. They filled both large baskets with them and head back with their haul. They also collected different tree corns that lay on the ground. The lands truly seemed abundant. Could it possibly stay that way? As they picked up the baskets of grasses they noticed large birds widely circling overhead. Coo then came out with many friends and harassed the large birds away. Coo flew faster and could turn quicker than the large birds. They all flew away.
When they arrived back at the cave AMI looked at the stick’s shadow and saw it was in the 27th partition. This was now just over half way for Horus. Horus had now passed the rise and was moving toward the fall. She marked near the tip of the shadow with a shiny rock. This they called ‘Top’. The top of the day. Noon. She said,
We will teach our children of the baskets and all the other things they must know. Let us now make tools to shape with the sand we brought back.
7_THE SAND BARK
AMI said,
I will gather course sand from the riverbank and bark to form a shaper.
She selected wide firm shards of smooth bark and laid one on a flat rock. The bark was flat and pliable.
She took the seeds of the grasses and ground them between rocks. She ground them hard and they turned into fine powder. Then she made hot water with the rocks and put the powder on a piece of bark floating on the hot water. She slowly scooped a little hot water over the bark and mixed it together with the powder using her finger. It was thick and she added more water and stirred continually. After a while and much stirring it formed into a paste and was ready to cool. She removed the bark and set it aside.
When the paste was ready she spread it evenly over the smooth bark and then very carefully sprinkled the grains of sand over the paste until it was covered evenly throughout.
She let it dry and then repeated with another thin layer of paste and another layer of sand. Then she placed another flat rock over the bark and allowed it to set. Incredibly, she had made a rough crude sand-paper using sand and glue on bark. She set about making more. BOY said;
8_THE KNIFE
I can fashion fine tools with the sand-bark. I will make a very sharp point from the hardest wood.
BOY went out to search. He looked for the right stick. It needed to be the hardest of woods and have the right shape. He found a hardwood branch with a slight knot in the wood and a long end tapering away. The knot would serve as a hilt before the handle. He measured from his elbow to his fingertips and broke it off by smashing the end off between rocks.
He brought it, and a few other potential ones back, and shaped them as best he could with sharp rocks cutting away the sides. He rubbed at the sides with rough rocks to wear the biggest parts away. He chopped and he shaped. It looked as well as hand cutting and shaping could do. Now he would try the sand-bark. He had to be careful as he scraped the wood into its shape with the sand-bark. The sand would wear off if he pushed with his fingers. AMI needed to make more sand-bark.
BOY carefully sanded a curved edge along the sharp side and a straight edge on the other side. The bottom edge curved to a point. The sand-bark fell apart and AMI handed him more. She worked hard to made more. BOY sanded it carefully and fine-tuned his work. It looked like a very sharp knife but it was only made of wood. Then he fire hardened the knife as he had done with the spears. Then when turning the knife near the fire by hand was hot to the touch, they changed as turners and used opposite hands. They spit ‘pheu’ onto the knife and rubbed it in. They had to do both ends. When it was done he wrapped and tied cords around the handle and over the knot. It fit nicely into his sash on his side.
The knife edge was very sharp and could cut things. BOY cut vines on the outside wall and threw the knife into a log. It stuck hard and came out unchanged. He started to make another knife for AMI and asked her to practice throwing his knife into the log. She threw hard and it stuck deep. BOY later would make 2 spoons with the sand-leaf and he would carve out two open chunks of wood and sand them into crude bowls. But, he had used all the sand-bark. AMI would have to make more when she can. The sand-bark would help make many more tools. BOY stated,
9_THE HOT WATER
We can now use the hot rocks to heat the waters to clean and warm our bodies. We can use the hot waters to heat and help prepare our foods.
BOY saw how the fire in the second log had burnt all night and burnt a large rectangular hole in the center. This hole was much bigger than the first one in a smaller log. He cleaned it out and they went out for more water. It would hold more than twice the first container and would hold their drinking and cooking water.
They filled the baskets with soaked moss and they became very heavy. It took several heavy trips. They filled the larger container and they called it the‘Hold’. Hold would be used for cook and drink. The first smaller container they called ‘Go’, would hold water for clean and other uses and they could make it bigger.
BOY took flat chunks of bark, one in each hand, and lifted some of the very hot rough shaped rocks from the fire and dropped the rocks into the Go.
When the hot rocks hit the water, steam rose and very shortly the water began to bubble and boil. They had hot water and it seemed so quick. The hot rocks were valuable and would serve them well. AMI then splashed the hot waters over her face and over her body. It felt so good as she removed dirt and grime and refreshed her body. She said,

She said,
Oh, BOY It feels so warm and so good. You must use it also as it is hot.
He immediately threw the waters over his head and aahed in pleasure. The hot waters were special and gave great comfort to them. I felt refreshed. AMI said,
Let us make the hot waters with the rocks and put foods into the waters. Let us taste hot foods. Let us make it easy for our bodies to best use the foods, for our lives and our Vision.
They threw several tubers into boiling water. The hot waters cooked the tubers. They tasted very good hot and the foods warmed their bodies. They knew cooking would be very special as they cooked foods easier for their bodies to digest, and to create more energy for their minds. The fire made it so.
They had the start for what they will need to build security for their children. Nothing was more important than their mission. It was the 46th partition and Big-light was more than half of the fall. Only 5 partitions left until dark. They could now look at how they will build the cave into a home for their children. AMI,
Let us organize how we will prepare sanctuary. Those memories within us and our children will pass beyond this physical world when they are free of this physical life.
This was an amazing statement. They knew they would return to harmony when they no longer had life in their physical bodies, and their children would also. BOY said,
10_THE SLED
We must fill all our stores. I will start by creating a pull sled from two long poles to carry large woods and stones and supplies from the fields and from the forests and from the waters back to our home.
I will pull the sled loaded with supplies back to store and to use.
To make it I will use two long poles tied together at one end with your cords. The poles will open up in the front where I can grab each pole end at my sides and tow them behind me. In between the poles I will tie loose cords in a net to carry many things that we need.

Now they knew they could gather much more stores. They planned a way to bring large quantities back to the cave to store for when they would need them. They would now spend the evening with AMI around the fire making cords and BOY putting the finishing touches to his sled.
Horus was now setting and in the final partition and the sky was turning red. This was a sign the next Pass would be of good nature. Beside the four mark on the wall above the others AMI scribed a basket and her body wrapped over BOY’s torso. She scribed a tuber in bubbling hot water. They were rough but clear marks. She ended with the knife.
They made all their sessions and sat close together around the fire. They were dreaming of their children. It would be soon. They were preparing all for their family to be. Horus was fading from sight and stars began to appear. AMI walked out to the ledge and looked up. She said,
BOY, look at the sparks now starting to appear, and there are two glows on the horizon. There is a spark to the back that does not move. We will measure the movement of the sparks to set the exact partitions of the night. We will set one partition for now and measure the rest when we have time to gaze.
BOY said,
We must give great thanks for our Wisdom-of-Vision and our chance to share it. I love you.
The outside night seemed a little chilly. AMI ran over to BOY and hugged him. They covered themselves with a woven reed blanket and lay down in their warm bed. They then wrapped themselves in each other. BOY only cared that AMI was safe. AMI only cared that BOY was beside her. They felt secure in their sanctuary.
Tonight they would sleep the good sleep and wake with new energy for their purpose. They were thrilled by the progress they made. But anything could happen. Explore the Horus Day next.
