1_RECAP

Their second day was full of grave danger as they had set out toward the cave and sanctuary. They prepared by exercising and replenishing through the time-out. They were covered in bloods and scrapes from the previous day and had fuzz appearing here and there.

They strapped large barks onto their feet with some vines and surface roots for the rough trek ahead into the unknown. BOY used a sharp rock to shape crude sticks into spears for protection and AMI gathered the seeds from the garden and wrapped them in leaves tied with a small vine and a loop for a handle.

They went through the burnt out areas and found animals cooked from the flames. They ate and prepared fire to go. Following an animal pathway they ran across ominous signs and had to retreat to a more difficult pathway through deep jungle to get to the dangerous river crossing.

BOY had survived a snake attack, and they found their friend Oink, now a chance to sit on a felled tree. They had planned how to cross the river full of gnashing teeth and fast waters. Dangerously crossing the river they lost their fire and some supplies. They arrived at the cave and prepared against attack from the bear of the cave. They found their friend Coo and made fire from the rocks. They slept.

It was the morrow. They woke, they rose, standing hopeful at the entry of their cave and facing their palms to Big-light as it was about to rise in the morning sky. They stood side by side.

2_NATURE SINGS

They hummed, yelled and sang loudly over the lands below and beyond. Their voices were strong and sweet. They were full of hope. They sang to the universe and the codes. Cheeps and warbles from the forest and the field seemed tuned to their melodic song.

Infinite AZ,

Ye Vision we know well.
Ye Codes we know well.

Wisdom-of-Vision is clearly set.
All children from ye Vision, will know well.

Their songs were clear. AMI and BOY had arrived. Their songs made their mission clear. BOY said:

To use our imparted Wisdom-of-Vision. We will use ye Codes to ye Vision. Ye Codes to pursue our grand mission.

They were happy, they had made it to the cave. They used only their great Wisdom-of-Vision. The great wisdom imparted to them. Their songs continued to grow as they followed their Vision. They then did all their morning sessions.

It was a bright day for them. Big-light was almost set to totally break free and shine brightly over the lands. They smiled and hugged as they always did. As they looked out over their new world, AMI put her head on BOY’s arm and held on to the top of his arm. She hopped up and down on one foot and looked him in his eyes. They seemed never more than a short distance apart. I saw them almost one, a match made in substance.

3_THE TIME

BOY said,
We are to know the values of forward-time. I will mark this spot out on the ledge where Big-light will shine and drive this stick into that spot. The stick’s shadow will hide from Big-light. We shall call Big-light ‘Horus’ as it will travel from horizon to horizon.

I will mark the end of the shadow of the tall stick, with a small stick, just as Horus now rises. As the tip of the stick’s shadow moves for 1500 heart beats we will mark the new end of the shadow with another small stick. The distance between the sticks will be one partition. We will know time partitions. We will mark all the partitions for us to know how many there are during Horus. The partitions will help us with times to use and to meet.

The shadows will also tell us the directions by connecting the rocks in a straight line. Also, the length of the shadows will tell us when all is cooler or warmer to be.

Oh my goodness, all this with just a stick and its shadow.

First I saw BOY driving a waist high straight stick into the ground. It was out in the open near the ledge and would catch the light from horizon to horizon. As Big-light rose the sticks shadow stretched directly behind the stick to the far wall and He marked the tip of it with a small stick.

Then AMI counted 1500 heartbeats and she placed another small stick at the new location of the tip of the shadow. Each length between the rocks was one partition. BOY then counted 1500 heartbeats and placed another small stick at the tip of the shadow. This was now two partitions and the shadow came closer to the tall stick. They continued as they did other things.

The sticks bunched closer together near the tall stick. The shadow tip was only one finger width away from the stick when Big-light passed half way. This they called ‘Top’. Then the shadow would depart on the other side of the stick and away from Big-light. They now had the different lengths of each partition for Horus’s journey across the sky. For now they would just set the rest of the small sticks at the declining distance and when time allowed they would be more accurate. They could tell the time of day, as long as Horus shone.

They also had a straight line of Horus’s path in the sky by following the straight line of the rocks. The line that joined the rocks told them the directions. As Big-light shone directly overhead, it shone very slightly into the cave. They named the direction Big-light came from ‘Rise’, and the direction Big-light went, they called ‘Fall’. The direction they looked out they named, ‘Front’, and behind them through the cave they called, ‘Back’. The middle directions they combined the words. The daytime they called ‘Light’ and the night time they called ‘Dark’. Each light and dark they called ‘Pass’.

They could tell all directions. They would tell the coming seasons by the length of the shadows. The shadows for now were very close to the stick. They knew this would change when cooler weather appeared.

The shadows would tell them the change when they got longer. They would know when to plant their precious seeds of life to make foods and when to store. They knew they must keep the best to replant and eat the rest.

4_THE PASSES

They now knew when weathers would be changing and how long to prepare. Wow, Oink scattered around the cave and dug here and there. Coo was still perched in the distance, and had new friends gather by. AMI looked closely at the far cave wall. She picked up one of the sharp rocks and scribed a short line about knee high from the floor. She marked it on the bottom right corner of the wall and Ami said,

This one mark is for the first pass we spent in our shelter. I will call it the Brave-pass.

She then scribed 2 lines, one above the other directly above the one line.
This two mark above, is for the Fire-pass that brought us to where we can hope to build our sanctuary.

This three mark above that, is for the Time-pass that we will we now know.

We will continue to mark each pass until the end is done.

BOY and AMI agreed as AMI stated,

We need to find foods and a water supply and more fire food. We need stores of all sorts. But first we need strong protection. We need more of the rocks.

Their task today would be to secure the cave, and to start preparations for future events.

5_THE PROTECTION

They quickly went about gathering many more rocks from near the base of the cave and along the hillside. Some were flat, some were a little round. Most were odd shapes. Some were as big as they both could carry. They lifted them up and stacked them high around the ledge by the entry way.

They lined up a few poles and made a ramp with the branches still on the poles. The ramp sloped from the ground to the ledge. The branches were a rest spot for the rocks as they rolled the large heavy rocks up and over the top. BOY had to push on his toes to push them over the end. For now they would stack the rocks around the edge of the entry sloping outward. He said,

This will be a wall that cannot be climbed without it collapsing on the climber. Then we will seal the small entry with rocks and protect it with our spears.

He looked at how to build a collapsible wall.

The rocks were stacked with firm flat rocks around the cave entry then smaller rounder ones on the bottom front of the ledge and slightly larger ones on the back part facing into the cave. They carefully placed the largest rocks on top of the rounder ones sloping slightly downward and outward.

I saw them placing short sticks between the round rocks facing out for a few hands. They supported the inside wall from falling back with square and flat shaped rocks. When they were inside they could pull up the ramp and cover the small entry with more rocks. It was a trap. Any animal trying to scale the rock wall would have to crawl over the sticks. Once the sticks were pushed down they would upset the balance of the rock wall. The large rocks would collapse on top of and crush the animal. Well Maybe? It seemed ingenious but would it work?

Coo flew over and perched on a shrub growing above the cave. Coo saw it was good and made soft gulping sounds. Coo must have thought it would work. Their eyes followed as Coo flew off to greet others of his kind. They were always in the distance, only Coo came to them.

6_THE SPEARS

While they were out searching for rocks BOY found a hardwood tree in a shaded area. The tree had several long straight saplings recently snapped and broken away. He said,

I will make powerful, sharp spears from these hard woods to replace those we have of the softwood. I will further harden the points with the fire.

They were the right size. He could replace their meagre spears of soft wood and with the fire he could make hard sharp points. When he brought the saplings back to the cave he flattened one end of the thickest one and used a sharp rock as a wedge to split the end into two halves. He pounded the wedge in a short way. The halves went down a few fingers from the end. He placed as mall short twig in between the halves to hold them apart and then removed the rock wedge. The twig kept the points apart and feathered the back end. The other end was to be a sharp point.

He then rubbed the pointed ends of each sapling against the smooth rock wall of the cave until each end came to a long tapered point. He rubbed and rubbed. He wanted sharp. His muscles rippled as he put tension into the strokes. The hardwoods gave and rendered sharp points showing very tight rings around the long points. The one stick end that was split in half and wedged apart came to two sharp points.

Now they both stoked the fire with long pieces of wood. Then I saw each of them holding an end of the two sticks near the fire heat and slowly turning the sticks. It looked to me like roasting marshmallows except occasionally they would push the point into the coals and quickly pull back out to the edge of the flames. It was not to burn. It was to slowly dry. They knew exactly what to do. The Codes.

They continued about one partition in order to slowly harden them. The tips were slightly turning a tan colour. They looked very slightly toasty, but not dark. The wood was slowly drying and hardening itself by the fire. When it was the right light toasty tan colour, they removed the sticks from the edge of the flames. As the spears cooled they rubbed the ‘bwa’ from their foreheads and under their arms into the cooling point. It then set. They continued the same procedure with the other ends. Then they pealed the bark back about a foot on each end and left the rest to have a strong grip.

Amazingly, these were no longer sticks. They had made two spears with sharp hard points at each end. BOY threw one into a wood chunk and it struck deep. It went straight through the bark and into the wood. He had to put his foot on the log to pull them apart. He looked at the point, it was perfect, still hard and sharp. No damage at all. It was a good spear. He practiced a while throwing into the wood pile. It was a powerful spear. AMI’s cheeks rose with her smile and she said;

7_THE CORDS

I will continue to make the cords and longer and stronger. We will use them for many things.

She had gathered many large long stems and other plant materials to make into cord. She spent much of her time making the cords. She had made a rack of forked sticks by jamming the sticks between a log and the cave wall. The forks stuck out toward the radiant heat from the fire. She then placed sticks between the forks and hung the rubbed fibres over the sticks and slowly dried the fibres near the radiant heat of the fire. She wove cords from the dry fibres and then wove those cords into bigger and longer cords. AMI said,

We will teach our children of the cords, and the many things to use them for. Could you make a pounder tied together with the cords?

8_THE CLUB AXE

BOY said,

Surely, I will use the cords you have made to tie the right stone between two short strong sticks. This will give great power when I swing it. It will be a tool for grunt and a powerful defence. If I find the right stone I will make a club-axe.

They had straight spears that were long. They could be thrown with some accuracy and thrust with piercing sharpness. But they had nothing of clout and heavy close defence.

BOY looked through all the rocks to find the right one. It had to be flat and hand shaped, a hand length long, and the best hard rock. He searched through the cave and found a few decent rocks. One was rounded on one end and wide on the other with an indent in the middle. He would chip at the wide front edge with a special rock as he tried to make a sharper edge. Chips broke off making razor sharp edges. I felt myself excitedly thinking, this is the right rock. The back edge was rounded like a club and the other end, a wide sharp axe. It was not perfect but would be very useful for now. Now a handle.

I saw him forming two flat sticks more than a forearm length each and three fingers thick. He ground one side of each of them flatter on rough rocks and then he ground them smoother with the smooth rocks. He then set fire hardening to them.

He placed the ends of the flat sides of the sticks over both sides of the indent in the rock. Then he strapped the sticks tightly to the rock from the top to the bottom to the top with the cords. He wove the cords into the strapping and tied it off with a special knot. He could retighten the straps on the club when needed. He even knew the right knot. He made a club and an axe all in one. They were making tools from nothing before my eyes. Amazing.

He pounded a short log with the club and little chips of wood flew off everywhere. He then turned to the axe end and lifted the club high over his head with both hands and swung with full force at the end of the log. It splintered. He hit it again and the log cracked in half and broke into two pieces.

AMI and BOY both jumped up and down and yelled, yahoo. He hit a rock that protruded out of the cave wall and the club broke the rock into pieces. He hacked at some hard soils with the sharp end and the soils crumbled. He had made a club of many purposes. It was heavy and round on one end and wide and sharp on the other. Wow, and he could sharpen it when needed.

Then I noticed AMI took her cords and wrapped a twisted group of them around BOY’s waist and tied them together to make a sash. BOY slid the club between the cords in the sash around his waist and he carried the club with him that way. AMI said,

You are so wonderful. You are my, everything. Sashes are a start. I will soon make covers to hang in our belts to protect to our knees.

They felt a little more secure for now. They had Coo to warn of danger. They had rocks and boulders to rain down on any predator. They had fire which they knew all animals feared and they had a powerful club axe and real spears that could penetrate hide. BOY was no weakling and he was unafraid. I could sense, If it came to AMI, BOY would gladly give his life or any amount of suffering. He smilingly said,

We will teach our children of the protection. There will be much more we will teach them.

AMI responded,

We now need more food for the fire. We must not run out. The more wood we can collect, the more food we will have for the fire.

9_THE BURF

They planned to keep a strong fire always at night and slower burning during the day. They would need lots of wood to feed it. Whenever they went out they tried to collect more wood.

They stacked piles of wood inside toward the down slope back of the cave. The pile of rough wood became as high as they were and twice as long. It was an ongoing project. They would plan to gather even more. Soon they would have to travel further for the wood. AMI said,

We will teach our children of the wood and the power within the wood and the many uses of the wood. The fire from the wood must stay on. If the fire is snuffed out in a wind we would have to start over again.

BOY said,

We must tame the fire to our use and not fear its loss. I will make backup fire by removing a large animal burf from the cave floor and place hot embers from the fire in the center. The hot embers will slowly burn throughout the burf, and the burf can last many decks if it is cared for. As we now know It needs to be protected and breath passed over it as it slows. Fire can be started from its embers. We will have backup fire and more.

BOY had already done this from the forest embers. He made it and he blew on it and it glowed. They knew the sparks of fire stayed within the burf for some time. It just needed to be blown over occasionally. It was their backup for fire and they could take it with them if they needed to. For sure this took me aback that animal poop could play such a basic part in survival. They needed to hurry. Big-light was already half way. There was much more to do. BOY said,

10_THE CONTAINERS

We must have backup water. We will need to make containers to hold the waters. We must then find sources of water and bring water back to the cave. Then we will set up uses for the waters.

They needed to find fresh water and lots, and bring it back to the cave. Where ever they found water, the gourds were too small to hold much and they had no place to store the waters. He said,

We can make water pits by burning out the insides of larger chunks of wood. Then we will have a place to put the waters. We will find fresh waters and bring them back to our pits. We have two small water gourds and can find water carriers.

First they made plans to make containers by bringing as big and short log forms as they could to the cave. The thicker they were the better. Finding them was another thing. Any older and therefore thicker had to come from the forested area across the field.

There were only a few fallen trees and old stumps, but BOY found an old stump that had rotted quite a bit but with large chunks of solid wood unaffected. He pounded and chopped at the best candidate and it rolled to the front. He then chopped a smaller one off the other side.

They rolled the largest one to the cave entry. They had to put the long poles against the cave ledge and roll it up the poles to the cave entry. The log was very heavy, but they were strong. They rolled the largest log against the wall, closest to the fire. BOY propped it in place by putting rocks under the front to keep it upright and from rolling. He ran back and carried the small one home. He hacked away at the middle of the large log on top with his club/axe and pried pieces out with the sharp rocks and the bones.

Then he took and placed fluff and tinder in the opening he had cut. He took embers from the fire and placed them in the open indentation created on top of the log.

Soon with a little more kindling on top and the fire grew. He left it to burn and continued other things. They would keep adding kindling and would fan it a little with their hands when going by. They pried at the newly loosed pieces of wood. It burned for a long time.

Several partitions later the center of the log burnt down and it left a large cavity. They scooped all the ashes away. The cleaned cavity could be filled with water. They set the other log afire and left it burning. Now they just had to get water to their log storage container. BOY said,

We must now find our sources of water and bring water back to the cave.

11_THE WATER

The river was not too far away but predators hunted in those waters and the waters could kill, if drank. Fast running creeks would be better and there were a few that led to the river. Their waters would be safer and they were nearer. They only had the gourds they came with so they set off toward the edge of the field where a small creek bubbled along. At the creek they drank their fill and a little more, then they filled the gourds with fresh water.

AMI grabbed large chunks of dry moss from a tree side and soaked up water as much as they could hold. The moss held the waters well and they carefully carried the heavy water soaked moss and their gourds back to the cave. At the cave they wrung the water out of the mosses and into the log container. They poured the water from their gourds in and went back several times for more, each time drinking their fill. They were now able to store some water to make life easier.

BOY looked up at the outside cave walls. The rocks were covered in short vegetation and had spots where birds had nested. My own thoughts were, perhaps the nests could provide eggs for food from the birds that nested there. BOY did not harm any nests being used, but there appeared to be several ledges and one large spot that could be cleaned out and maybe dug deeper to hold water. He said,

I will climb the sides of our outside cave walls and use the sharp bones to dig out holes where falling waters can gather. We will be able to use it from there and if we only take one egg at a time we may deceive the birds.

BOY scaled the wall carrying a sharp bone of rib and found spots he could dig open to hold the waters when they come from the sky. He scooped the old waters away and cleaned the debris away. He then dug deeper with the bone and chipped pieces of rock away with his club. This left open pits where the waters would gather when the next waters fall. They had found hollow reeds to drink water from the pits when needed.

He said,

We will teach our children of the backup waters and many more ways to find. We will teach them the uses of the waters.

12_THE FOOD

Ami said,

We must also find foods and bring them to store.

Oink knew of foods. They followed Oink as she was outside rooting about for foods in the edges of the field. Oink had found food, roots and tubers and mushrooms by rooting around. Oink oinked, and they followed her by the edge of some woods. There were many tubers they could take. Oink had already uncovered them and left them out to pick up.

BOY placed his arms as if carrying a load of wood. AMI placed some small sticks across his bent arms and then large leaves on top. BOY bent his arms in slightly to form a pocket. Then AMI loaded it with tubers as much as could be held. She used large leaves to carry berries and mushrooms wrapped inside. They walked carefully back to the cave to not spill any of the foods. BOY always had his spear tucked under his arm and his club in his belt.

Then a strange sound came from behind. BOY instantly dropped the tubers and turned his spear to the noise. AMI silently did the same. Oink ran to the cave. They waited, No further sounds or movements came and they cautiously gathered their foods and left for the cave.

Amazingly, there was a fig tree in the center of the field and AMI noted it as a future source of fresh figs. They found a cool raised spot in the rear of the cave that protected the foods wrapped in layers of leaves.

13_THE BUZZ

On the next food run AMI found a hive of bees and excitedly called BOY,

Let us take the sweetness from this buzz home. Smoke will dull the senses of the buzzes and we can take large chunks of sweetness from their home. The sweetness will last for many returns.

The bees had a hive in a hollow tree. The bees made honey from the sweetness of the plants. This was a great source of food and energy, and the honey would not spoil. It would last a very long time.

They both quickly ran back to the cave. AMI tightly wrapped damp moss around a long stick and then wrapped dry moss tightly overtop of the damp moss. BOY brought the burning burf with him. When they arrived back near the hive, AMI put the end of the long stick with the dry moss tinder into the burf. BOY blew gently on the embers and the dry moss on the stick broke out in flame. AMI neared the hive and waited until the fire reached the damp moss. The stick spewed out deep, dark and heavy smoke as it reached the damp moss inside. Then AMI placed the smoke column right under the hive.

The smoke from the moss rose into the hive and disabled the bees. The bees fluttered and fell and were not able to move. As soon as the bees were knocked out they broke open the hive and broke large chunks of the honeycomb away from the hive. They knew the bees would wake up and could be angry so they ran as fast as they could back to the cave. The bees would be fine and they would replace the lost honey. The honey was of energy when it was needed and it was sweet and it would last and last and it held cures.

AMI said,

We will teach our children of the backup foods and of the ways to find, and prepare to eat, and so much more. We will need salt. We can for now find salt where the animals lick.

They knew foods had salt but they would need to be sure. They knew there was salt in the big waters far away, but that was not now. For now they would get all their salt from food and if they are lucky, an animal salt lick. They had backup for all their needs and they knew how to get more. I felt this was becoming a very productive day.

14_THE CAVE BEAR

As Big-light was over half way they went about organizing their new home. They cleaned up and moved all the bones into one pile. They threw all the rest of the burfs outside of the cave, off to the fall side.

They put the bed rocks back around the fire as they would continue to do each day. They pulled up some logs and sat around the fire for a while and listened to the animals and the sounds they made. There were many and after all, they knew each one. From the chirps and the cheeps, to the hoots and the squawks, to the grunts and the growls they had named them all. There were many out there, some were not friendly.

All of a sudden Coo let out a string of chirps. Coo flew to the cave ledge and repeatedly chirped. BOE and AMI knew this was not good. The chirps were a warning that danger was nearing. Coo flew into the woods from where a deep grunting sound came. The sounds increased and out of the woods emerged a gigantic animal. It was huge and had features of a great and fearsome bear. Coo flew repeated around the creature and Coo’s friends joined the harassment. The bear was unconcerned and strutted toward the cave.

AMI stood beside BOY as they held their spears over top of the entry wall. The bear stood on its hind legs sniffing the air as it looked at AMI and BOY inside the cave. The bear lifted its front paws with long dagger claws. It let out a loud growl with its powerful mouthful of teeth and came running toward them. The roar was very clear and it sounded its dominance. It was the bear of the cave, the great cave bear. It did not like anyone in its cave and intended to get rid of them. That would probably include dinner. Oink ran to the back of the cave.

The bear arrived at the bottom of the wall just a spear length away from AMI and BOY. It stopped and stood again and put its paws on the ledge. The bear panted and snarled and set back. Then all of a sudden it growled and leapt up to the wall. Some rocks were dislodged by the sticks but the wall did not move. They feared the bear knew their trap and was thinking another way through. Then the bear leapt up again only higher. This time the wall shuddered. The bear’s eyes opened wide and rolled as the wall collapsed all over the bear. Rocks flew down everywhere and all over the bear’s body. One large rock hit the bear squarely on its forehead.

The dazed bear reeled and shook and snorted and crawled back from the wall. It moved off a ways from the wall and shook itself and licked at some wounds. Then it rubbed its forehead on the ground. The wall had worked but the wall was now gone. Now there were only their spears and the club and the fire left to protect them. The bear looked determined. The bear stood in anger and growled a great roar. There was defiance in its posture. It grunted and bobbed up and down and was getting ready to charge. This time the bear could leap to the ledge and over. BOY said,

Stand back behind the fire, keep your spear to the front and do not be afraid, we will defeat all odds against us. I love you.

AMI responded,

I will not leave your side. We will defeat all side by side. I love you.

AMI planted her spear into the ground with the point facing the bear and knelt low on one knee ready to thrust her spear when it came time to strike.

BOY then stood openly in the entry and faced the great bear. Before the bear could charge, BOY took a deep breath creating a vibration in his lungs and chest. He started a low growl deep inside and vibrated the sound throughout his body. Then he cupped his mouth with his hands and formed a wide O and snarled with his lips and teeth. Out came a spine chilling roar deeper and louder than the growl the bear had made. The roar was intensive and vibrated throughout the valley. Birds landed. Creatures stopped moving. Other noises ceased. All life paid attention.

As the bear was starting its charge, it heard the roar and stopped in its tracks. The great cave bear stood on its hind legs and looked at BOY. The bear’s mouth closed and its paws folded down in front of it. Its eyes set downward as it ran its tongue through its lips. It then set on all fours and turned to run. BOY had clearly issued a challenge to the bear and the challenge was dominant. He knew the sounds of the animals and how to talk to them. When the bear reached the forest it stopped and looked back. There was BOY and AMI standing defiant in the entry, spears in hand.

BOY fed his lungs and let out another great roaring growl. The intensity of His roar made small pebbles fall off of and roll down the wall. The bear quickly turned, then put its head down and ran. The bear would have to find a new home and would not return to where such a dominant message was sent.

The cave was theirs and would be home to their children. They laughed and sighed great relief. They had saved the cave and no blood was
shed. They held each other as their heart beats slowed down. BOY drew aside and said,

All is now well my AMI. We are safe from the bear. He will not return. To other things, I will now rebuild our wall and build a midden for our waste to turn back to parts.

He took bones to the far base outside of the cave toward the rise and paced off about 30 long paces. He then dug a pit with the sharp rib bones. He dug as deep as the soil would allow where only rock lay below.

He cleared the area around it and threw the bear’s burfs inside. He threw a sprinkle of dirt over top. This would serve as their burf disposal area where they would cover the burfs with ashes and soil and let the entropy turn the burfs back to parts.

As Big-light was setting they replanned the wall and pulled their ramp up the ledge. They knew they must soon rebuild the ramp and improve it. They needed to remake it so Oink could get up and down by herself.

They had defeated fearsome odds and found a home to be. They felt happy and hopeful together. They cuddled and cooed, as they felt the time was near. They could enjoy the full passion of their existence and create the children. They knew they must wait though. Sanctuary must supply all the security needs of their children to be. They made a warm bed and did their sessions, as always. They had everything they needed for now. My amazement was beyond description. They had survived and conquered all they came across. They had packed such incredible progress into a single Pass.

It rained that night and the bloods came from AMI. She had noticed that they had started a little on the Brave-pass and were more this night. They were dark and strange. They came from her middle pore. AMI had not known this feeling. It was uncomfortable and she had strange feelings. BOY brought over waters in the gourd and washed the bloods away. They knew this was near the time. AMI was preparing her body for child. BOY too was feeling the urge to create children. Very important, they both noticed their sexual feelings for each other intensifying through the trials of the substance world.

Just as they were settling in for the sleep, they heard a caw sound on the wall. It was Caw, their friend. He had found them. AMI called him and he flew to her side. They both pet Caw and rubbed noses.

They had vanquished the great cave bear and were building their security. Caw was back with them. Time gave them a plan and they were full of hope. The adventure continues in The Hope Day.
