1_THE MORNING

The next I witnessed, was a soothing calm. Little-light had travelled through the night and appeared near the fall horizon, and was slipping over. It shone and stretched the valleys by its late glow. No sparks appeared around little-light as it rolled past the sky. A blink when it set, and the sky turned pitch black. Then, stars leapt out in their brilliance. Sharp spikes darted into tips. Brighter ones grouped together over here, and over there. The land was dark but the sky was brilliant with stars. The great band of light shone in striking colours and was magnificent to see.

I felt as if I was standing in the garden but over top of the fig tree. Looking inside from the outside, I could look, and I could see shadows against the wall inside the cave. The fire lit the inside cave wall with moving shadows.

Morning sounds of the fields and the hills distantly started to emerge. AMI and BOY slowly woke to the sounds, still tangled in each other. This day they woke easy. I heard moans and groans of pleasure. Logs of pitch and sticks of flame crackled, and sparks flew high. I heard slow sighs, and little snorts, then a long series of giggles, and laughs.

‘Crick, crick, crick’ came from the boggy area behind me. I heard the odd “ribit”, and a few “croaks”. A low “hoot” from the woods was followed by a meek honk from the pen. I heard a growing symphony of sound. It had no order but lulled me with its quiet surprise. Then, a low series of ‘honk’ sounds and some ‘quacks’ came from their pen.

I saw Ahoo then came outside. He whipped his head and snorted and sat straight up on the ledge. He stared at the great band of light. His moving shadow from the fire flickered and roamed the fields outside. His head tilted up and he howled a long ‘aahooo’, then another. Several ‘honk’ sounds came in a row, from the pen.

Small streaks of birds shot across the night sky. A surface of black with moving flashes of colour in a sea of stars. As beautiful as a night could be. The air, so clear and the peace, so calm. The rhythm, the life, the bounty, and the Codes. I felt they could create anything, anything at all, with the Codes.

As I looked toward the cave, the glowing firelight cast moving shadows on the inside cave walls. The flicker of the flames distorted the shadows.

2_THE SHADOWS

I saw it all, by the shadows on the wall.

Shadows from the fire light and rhymed movements, reflected on the cave walls. Flames round the entrance framed the sky. Covers woven of reeds came alive and made bouncing shadows on the wall. The shadows showed the bumps and reflected much larger than their form.

Then AMI and BOY cast off their covers of woven reeds, with their large shadows framed by the wall. BOY turned ear by ear and listened all around AMI’s tummy. I was outside the cave but it was as if I was there, hearing it myself. He heard a low pumping sound and followed the beats to AMI’s chest. I could hear AMI’s heart beating louder as he neared her breast. BOY laid his ear to her heart and marvelled at its life sound. Thump, thump, thump, ever reliable thump. Thumps then seemed to increase. He tenderly rose and rested his lips over her milk pore. Time strangely seemed to stop for a few seconds.

As the fire turned to glowing, the shadows formed sharp edges on the cave wall. BOY peered up and looked into AMI’s eyes. The shadows sharply magnified her now forming eye hairs and they opened high, and her smile set into the shadows. BOY’s face moved closer to AMI’s neck and he kissed her neck lightly, and again many times. He inched up to her ear and made playful touches at her ear lobe. He whispered low umms and ooohs into her ear. Some legs shook.

When he blew lightly in her ear, she giggled and brought her hands to his face. BOY moved his heart tightly against hers. Heart thumps together. Together thumps raced, as lips met in the firelight. The shadows peaked and ebbed.

Feather blankets and padding were tossed back and forth with closeness in the firelight. They whispered in each other’s ears. I sensed this feeling together was for them and that the children born of this feeling will forever influence their future.

They kneeled, they laid, they stood, they caressed, they explored in all ways. The shadows were so graceful, all across the cave wall. Deep breathing as they moved like a symphony. BOY and AMI made ‘aahoo’s like Ahoo and sometimes snorted like Oink. An owl hoot replied from the forest.

Feet all around, bodies in embrace, shadows on the wall. Sometimes slow, sometimes fast, sometimes not at all. I then saw them asleep in each other’s arms, as I listened to the natural sounds of nature. Then, shadows on the wall, sometimes slow, sometimes fast, sometimes not at all.

BOY laid his head against AMI’s tummy, listening and feeling. He lifted his head and told AMI he heard something. Was it a gurgling sound? He listened again. He was sure he heard something. Could he hear the movement? Of course not, it was way too soon but he wanted to listen anyway. AMI laughed.

It is not like that. The seeds from you and from me will join. We will need to provide all their needs as they grow inside of me. Our children will be born through our love and what future start we can make for them. We have all in progress to make sanctuary for them.

The honks were now honking as morning approached. It was time to rise, to do their morning motions and then to open time-out. Each time-out I passed ahead until they returned.

I had no memory of that time to refer to, just a feeling of contented bliss and the knowledge of my memories. They obviously felt that also and lay down again on their tufted bed. BOY said;

You know our journey is full of many unseen dangers and trials unknown. I fear only for you. You are my everything. You are my AMI. I am here to do all for you.

AMI said;

I will always be by your side in all I do. No greater fear than me without you could I bear. You are my everything, and in all I do. You are my BOY. I fear only without you.

Little-light had fallen. The sky was turning lighter as morning approached. BOY again laid his ear to AMI’s stomach and listened for sounds and movement. Their bed now soft of tramped fluff. They would lie there and dream together. What dreams they would have! They were together and very much of-love and love-of.

My thoughts of what they had accomplished together was not describable. All odds would be against them. They could have been eaten or suffered and died of many causes. Their carcasses could have been strewn far and wide and that would have been the end of their story on the Turf.

But they survived. I wondered how many people I knew who could even start a fire from nothing. Not many, if any. Yet fire took them from the realm of eat or be eaten to the dominant force of the land.

They now ruled the land and it was because they had the fire. They knew how to make it. That is because they knew the Codes. And they had the Wisdom-of-Vision to use the Codes for good. They could vision what they needed and use the Codes to make it. How incredible. They lay in happiness, in each other. AMI spoke,

Born within substance, our children will have the Love of. The love-of cannot give them the of-love. We will need to show them the of-love.

They made a hot water mix with the fruit of the fiber plant and drank it. BOY:

I love you and I adore you, and I need you.

AMI:

We are doing the impossible, each day I love you more and more,

They giggled and played and thought of games they could play. BOY said;

The tiny bones have held your wound and your cut has healed well. I will kiss them for now for saving your skin.

AMI;

It is fine, look how fast it has held and how clean you have kept it. It has healed very quickly and will leave little marks. I will make suture of the fiber, if you will make a tiny metal point with a hole in one end. The suture will sew any cuts to our form and we can easily join flat forms together.

They got up and walked around holding each other and looking out over their fields as morning approached. It was still a little dark with dark shadows in between the trees, but all looked so clear.

Ahoo was much better and wagged his tail a lot. He always stood or sat by AMI or BOY and Oink when she came along. Oink and Ahoo rolled around and played in the morning light. Oink butted Ahoo in his rear. Ahoo jumped over Oink. Ahoo jumped up and down with his tongue hanging out. Oink could not catch him. AMI and BOY both oinked and howled with them.

Ahoo sat in front of BOY with his wet tongue hanging out of his open mouth and with bright eyes looking at BOY. Ahoo was now much stronger and easily ran up and down the steps BOY had made. BOY grabbed a stick and threw it off the ledge. Ahoo ran down the steps and chased it. He was fast. He caught it and brought it back to BOY. He placed the stick at BOY’s feet and sat back looking at him. BOY threw it again and Ahoo darted after it. It was great fun. Ahoo loved them and would defend them at any cost. Oink snorted and trundled behind and followed Ahoo back up the steps.

They all went out to the field and played so naturally. They were running, jumping, laughing, playing, soaring through the air and singing. It was a happy sight to see. BOY lightly slapped AMI on the butt and ran away. AMI chased after him and slapped him too. There were more giggles and laughs and twists and turns. They slipped in the soft soil by the swampy area and fell down together. They rolled and played amid the low reeds and waters and were not seen for some time.

When they emerged they were soiled and wet. They ran about the field looking for things. AMI looked under rocks at the creatures below. BOY found the flowers of the colour AMI liked. He picked them and brought them to her. She held them close and smiled at BOY. She thanked him and proceeded to eat them, one by one. AMI said;

Umm. These taste so good. Now let us splash some waters on us from the pits on the cave wall.

They ran to the cave. BOY climbed the outside wall and splashed a little water from the pits down on AMI below. She wanted more and BOY quickly ran out. He leapt down to the cave and said;

This is the 10 pass and we will call it We-pass. This pass is for us, you and I. Let our children know of the great value of the We-pass. Chores still need to be done.

They did their chores and cared for the animals. Their feelings were intense and they understood well of-love. They came back and together made foods. They shared in everything when time-forward allowed. BOY gathered clean pots and spoons and placed them on the side of the hearth. AMI boiled water with the rocks and cooked cut tubers inside. The last two bananas were over ripe but sweet,

4_10 DAYS

The second five passes were eventful. Five passes, now ten passes, two stars on the wall. Today a full deck would be completed.

On Day 7, the heart day they were learning how to treat the defeated Long tooth’s parts, and they found Ahoo. They dug a garden and planted their seeds. They formed the clays to make containers and pipes, and made a kiln to fire them in. Then they made the crucible so they could make metals.

On Day 8, the Happy day they made the pen and the trap and they captured the honks. They moved small fruit trees together in the sun. They laughed and cried as they worked.

On Day 9 the Joy day they made the sling and started the fence. They rode the air on the swing and saw the beauty in everything.

On Day 10 On the We day They enjoyed this wonderful day together, the shadows on the wall.

WOW. It was stone age to bronze age in 10 passes. UNBELIEVABLE. The Codes did it all. What could possibly happen next? During the next decks and many returns, time appeared in a new stranger more mind boggling exciting way;

I no longer experienced by days or passes, not by weeks or decks, not by years or returns. Time now appeared at the beginnings and ends of many events as if they were together and the marks grew quickly on the wall. Explore how it all came about. Continued in of animals.
