1___I WOKE UP
Woke Up this morning, a new day to embrace

Great wonders are waiting, for all to face
A springboard symbolic, this resolution I hear

For truths I reside in, there must be no fear

A main goal in life, is happy and content

More red wine please and, pass the condiment
Great food, good friends, A lively conversation or two

Those are the resolutions, I plan to do
Oaths waxed weary, for great benefits of

Life is mere mystery, In a folded glove
If a purpose there is, for this life we live

Each knows a reason, from their perspective
Yes indeed yes it is, the truth has been found

It is this it is this, cry loud voices all around
This is the truth, that thing over there

No this is it here, not that over there

A soul so restless, not finding home
Seems doomed forever, forever to roam
Why wonder we why, if no answers to see
Can a being have purpose, a reason to be
Paths there are many, take what you will

Chart straight a course, hold strong the till
Storms brew in people, their words and deeds

Perhaps on a long river, of fast water and reeds
A prophet to save them, they yell to the sky

not how things happen, just words of why
Words written in life, about life after death

Just follow the words, and you will not die

Other words written, contradict theirs

Who is right, are we all smitten
Delusion by the any, Is a mental dilemma

Delusion by the many, is a herd of false faith
Is life not eternal, in the nature we see

It is the reason we live, our reason to be
Faith is unfounded, to leave truth behind

Truth is obvious, to the inquisitive mind
Seek meaning to ends, with family and friends

2___DREAMS
We dream, we dream, why do we dream, be it vanity, fear, tranquility,
why do we dream
Is a dream a warning, an omen, a thing, The peal of a bell, or its
beguiling ring.
Do they have meanings in any way, to transcend what we know and
pleasantly say.

I dream, or subjectively, I think I do. You dream, or objectively, I think
you do.
Do you dream, does every one dream. Are they factors to influence our
lives
In this we are all subjective. They must be real, a flowing stream
Do animals dream, do babies dream. A baby has no affiliation of any
kind.
What to dream with no developed mind. As strange as it may seem.

3___SOFTWARE
Through all of neuroscience, be it language, culture, religion or thought
a new mind is a blank slate to whatever you ought,
Just as a new computer has the ability to take in, whatever you bought
It is the same modelling In a computer, with a physical presence and a
software brain and the ability to connect the two,
creating a memory and an output. Your computer can even talk back to
you
and you don’t have to change its diapers.
But when can they dream, Is it a thing we all have
Religious believing is described as a mental concept that allows the
believer to have a personal relationship with their prescribed Deity. Is
that a dream?

Terrance McClennan cited Plato:
“THE GOD I SEE WITH MY EYE, IS LOOKING BACK AT ME.”
In 1957, Life magazine reported on Terrance’s studies into ‘the divine
dance’ being the historical references to parties, dancing, and dreaming
invoked through the exposure to then know hallucinates resulting in
experiences ‘more real than real’.
Gordon Wasson authored ‘The Invisible world’ which must have been
authored by a real dose of mushrooms within the world of many
celebrities like Bob Dylan and Led Zepellin.

4___JUST A KID
Hey,
You say I’m just a kid, and you aren’t kidding.
I’m just a kid. I got no voice.
I’m just a kid, and you aren’t kidding.
I’m just a kid, I got no choice.
You say don’t worry, don’t fret, don’t think, your just a kid.
You feed me, help me grow, and learn some things.
But, you make the wars and crazy fights. We don’t know why, we
got no rights.
What about me. I got no voice. I’m just a kid. We think, What
about us?

You dream of yesterday, I dream of tomorrow.
What about us. I’m just a kid. You think this way.
I want to know happy, You tell me of sorrow.
I want my family, I want my friends. I don’t want war, I just want
ends.
Leaders tell you what to think. We see that’s how we sink

I’m just a kid, but I ain’t no fool. I,m just a kid,I’m not a tool.

5___ODE TO JUST A KID
You are right, I’m up tight, and what a sight.
All those years, I cannot forget past times
Those moments between diapers
first steps of growth, first rhymes
Smack, slobber and poop, Part of the thrill.
First murmurs of mama’s and dada’s ….Next you were …….TBA

6___WHAT THE?
We cried, we laughed we wet our pants.

The first I knew, I felt pain and cried. I was hungry and suckled. Food.
Hello my dear old friend.
It has always been the same, do you remember?
We were young. We knew nothing. We were weak and suffered. We
tried to play. We carefully wandered through all we knew. Dangers
were everywhere. Our parents knew nothing, and we learned it all.
We threw rocks and dug holes. We shivered and shook from cold and
fear. But they fed us and comforted us as best they could. To exist in a
hostile world was our only hope. Endless suffering was the best to hope
for. But we did play. A LOT.
We started banging rocks and sticks together like always. Remember
when the sparks shot out. What a day!
You jumped, I yelled and cried. The sparks landed amid some dry
tinder. We blew hard and fed the sparks with grass, twigs and
wood. The sparks turned into flames and we had fire. That day the
world changed for us. We got close and felt a warmth never felt
before. We could see in the dark, more time to be us. Predators
stayed nervously and far away. Remember when we found cooked
meat within the last forest fire. Tasty mmmh, and easy to eat,
seasoned by the charcoal. Never again would we be gnawing on
raw meat. The world changed that day. We could make fire. No
greater thing could have happened to us. The future was ours.
Remember?
We need never again, fear the numbing cold that lulls to sleep
ever lasting. We need never again fear the tooth, or the claw, or

the dark that harbors terrors unseen, both in wake and in dream.’
Shakespearish
Then you put a sharp stick in the fire warmth and the end hardened. We
could poke things and protect ourselves. It took us both to pull the stick
out of the tree you threw it at. The world was ours. We could scare
other predators to leave, or make them leave.
Then we poured water in the clay fire pit and we could not move the
hardened clay when the fire was out. We made it like a rock in the
shape it was in. You made pots, I made toys to throw and roll. What a
day!
The future was ours. We could command nature to do our biding.
Do you remember, you smashed two rocks together and sharp points
fell off. You held it and flipped it and sliced a branch off a tree with it.
Wow. I saw a lot more. The sharpness could cut tough things and make
weapons to protect and gain food. You put one sharp rock into the end
of a split stick. We only began to understand the significance of this. We
started to believe that we knew everything to know.
Oh how we were young. Remember.
We grunted and snorted and made sounds though our lips. We copied
the animal sounds and made words from them. Wolves howled, birds
chirped, screeched and pecked. You pointed and yelled ‘caw’ and we
then and forever knew them as one and called them caw. Frogs croaked
and you called them croak. We learned how to name all the creatures
we saw and knew. Do you remember how the world was coming
together for us. With names, things made more sense. We named hills
and valleys and rocks and rivers. The sounds were so beautiful to our

ears. We named the trees and all of nature. We had words, we could tell
each other things we saw and what they were doing. With the words
we could talk about ourselves and the future.
Finally able to talk about future. Where would it take us.
Do you remember when we saw the acorn on your neckpiece growing
roots like the trees. Could it be a new tree. We put the infant tree in the
ground and it grew and became a tree. Could this work for the plants
that grew berries and fruits? We had to try, and after time it worked.
We no longer had to search for food and shelter, we could settle safely
in a tree, like a bird in a nest.
We came down from the trees where we had felt safe and comfortable
and started to roam the lands. Each direction seemed endless and
different. The whole world seemed flat to us. We could go in any
direction.
We looked for answers. For any kind of explanation. How could
everything be? We were in the middle of everything we knew.
We looked down. It was, ground, dirt, sand, rock, water, all forms of
moving things. We looked around and saw mountains, plains, valleys
and great bounds of browns and greens. When we looked up we saw
big light and the fluffs, then came little light and all the bright sparks.
some even moved.
But, they all went around us, in a never ending pattern, we were the
center of everything.

The dominant was Big light. Big light commanded the day. It made
everything promising. Even the fluffs promised rain, and our most
important need, water.
You noticed that Little light changes on a regular schedule and makes
odd shapes and that some sparks moved also. You felt that those
movements of little light and the moving sparks told stories, against the
non-moving sparks background. Were they telling us something? Could
they tell us our future successes?
Rhythm and beat came from our beating that old hollow log with
shaped sticks. Remember? And the funny hopping you did to the beat
around our close kin. It caught on, and soon we were all dancing,
making funny faces, and laughing at the strange sweet sounds some
would make. The music was like a medicine, it stirred our sense of being
and mutual bonding with other beings. With a higher protein diet, plus
higher security with musical emotions, we were finally able to talk
about future. Where would it take us.
Others have and we want. We want what others have and not the
same as us. We hate, and want them gone, no matter what they do.
We first threw rocks and hit with sticks. We yelled and screamed. Others
had a different dream. We were right and they were wrong. We sang
our song and went to battle. Do you remember?
To be continued when I have time. No matter my age, I’m just a kid
